Two of the rifles for my Gebirgsjäger project (still work in progress)

Tanaka G33/40
Removed the scope rail and replaced the handguard.

Tanaka K98k with ZF41
Tanaka messed up the dimensions of the rail... took a lot of work to get
the ZF41 mount on the Tanaka scope rail.

Very nice. :good: I think I might have to do the same to my G33/40.

I bought the replacement handguard. It was made for a real steal G33/40. Needs quite a bit of
work until it fits the Tanaka G33/40.

rather than having the tufts in the helmet sticking out have them stretched in between the netting. less sniper-esque. since you've got a thompson and all.

And a KERR sling

A few pics & comments on my HBTs from Pirschen...

The material feels quite substantial and hard-wearing, and the cut is absolutely great. Tunic has darts for a snug fit, and Pirschen's comprehensive sizing chart really works for me.

Dunno who would like to see the inside of a tunic, but everybody does it...

I had to attach some buttons inside for the braces, as I have had to for almost all the trousers I have purchased from various sources - with the exception of some Spearhead LW M35s and some Sturm wool M42s (however, the latter's buttons were only sewn onto the lining, and not all the way through the wool, so they ripped off when I skirmished them at Pocket  )

And here's my new haircut....

My one criticism - the colour is too dark. I am attempting to alleviate this by repeated hot ironing. Other than that, I'd recommend them.

Ah OK... just didn't look as "reed green" as some I've seen. I am now convinced.

Hehe... actually, even though you can't see the haircut, I do look a bit younger. Only about 42...!
